Can you believe I've got two new blanket designs ready for you? I posted pictures of both of these on my Facebook page asking which you wanted to have available first, and it was pretty much a tie. So I decided to release them together. Let me tell you about them...
Both designs call for I Love This Cotton by Hobby Lobby which is a favorite of mine--mostly because it has some beautiful colors to choose from, is super soft, and very affordable!

But you could use any yarn you want--even busting your stash! I particularly think my This Way Blanket would look pretty in a solid color--really highlighting the wonderful texture. And Rows of Posies would be fabulous in neutral rows of flowers with a colorful variegated in between. Actually, I tried that when I was playing with the stitch pattern here...

The sample Rows of Posies uses this totally terrific variegated yarn from Yarn Bee (Hobby Lobby, too) called Mimic. It has a little glimmery shimmery shine to it which makes the blanket look a tad fancy, but it is still washable. And although I'm not a super huge fan of short-run variegated yarns, I think this design makes fabulous use of the short color changes as the colors don't blend and "muddy".

These are both written as good-sized crib blankets, but they include instructions for changing up the sizes using the included multiple--easy peasy. I say, bust that stash!
If you want more details about the yarn, quantities, skill levels, etc, head to my Etsy shop and read more about them. And don't forget the discount--use code ESAVE3 at checkout on Etsy to save $3 if you spend $16.50.
You can also find both of these patterns in my shops:
I've got another pattern rolling off my hook--and the colors for it make me super duper happy! But color has a way of doing that. How about you?
